Great software

Ultimate Bet, otherwise known simply as UB Poker, is a well established online poker room and part of the Cereus network along with Absolute Poker.  UB poker was founded in 2001 and has gone on to become one of the leading poker sites.  A wide range of games are offered including Texas hold’em,Omaha, 7 card stud, Pineapple and triple draw, as well as mixed games.

The merge with Absolute Poker in 2008 has dramatically increased the amount of traffic to the site, and it now competes with the other major sites such as PokerStars, Full Tilt and Party Poker.  The software is well designed with great graphics, and allows custom avatars.  All the normal features are included such as window resizing, tiling and hot keys making it perfect for grinding out on multi tables, and there is no maximum table limit.

A unique feature is the “rabbit cam” which allows player to see what the turn and river cards would have been if all players fold.  It’s only available in some of the games, and can be quite interesting.

Customer support is excellent, though only available via email.  All major deposit and withdrawal options are available, and while the competition is tough at the higher limits, soft tables can be found at the low and micro-limit levels, especially in NL hold’em and Omaha.

UltimateBet is endorsed by a number of pro players including 11 WSOP bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth and top female player Annie Duke.

UltimateBet hosts a live tournament as part of the World Poker Tour – The Aruba Poker Classic.  Previous winners of the event include Freddy Deeb, Juha Helppi and Erick Lindgren.
